This is the last test post. Technically everything isn’t finished yet, as you can see from the uncompleted checklist on the home page. And there’s actually some additional stuff not from that list that I need to do. But all of the main functionality and design is in. The theme was finished and installed, the main pages are setup, the plugins are functional, and the one random bit I wanted to include on here is done. It took a disgustingly long time, but we’ve finally arrived at the point where I can sit down and say that this thing is move in ready. Officially the plan was that I wasn’t going to start blogging here until November, but the move is actually tied to content rather than time. There are four articles I still want to post to the old website: Zeta Gundam, Gundam ZZ, Char’s Counterattack, and Fandom Unbound. That would be the finish to my first series of retrospectives + first real academic book review, and with that I’d feel really good about “opening a new chapter” as it were. So i’m going to try to finish all of those by November, but again, I’ll just say that’s the plan. My track record for following timelines isn’t good.
But yeah, that’s all of that for right now. The main thing is that the test phase is done. Everything is functional. So unless something wonky happens there shouldn’t be anymore server errors or whatever. I will be echoing any retrospectives and reviews from the old site as they come out, but otherwise I (hopefully) look forward to writing here in November.
Thank you to everyone who helped test this site. You guys are the bomb.
